About Dr. Thom Lobe
Dr. Thom Lobe, Chief Medical Officer of L2 Bio, is a leading expert in autologous stem cell banking and regenerative medicine. A Baltimore native, his early battle with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease ignited his passion for medicine. He earned his medical degree Cum Laude from the University of Maryland and trained at Johns Hopkins, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, The Ohio State University, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Lobe has held key leadership roles at the University of Tennessee, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and advanced minimally invasive surgery programs in Iowa. An internationally recognized surgeon, educator, and researcher, he has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications and trained more than 40 surgeons worldwide. He holds board certification in anti-aging, regenerative, and functional medicine and currently serves as a Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Illinois.
